Your opportunities at the youth radio station

Presenting

Whether in the car, at the supermarket or cooking in the kitchen, there is always that voice accompanying you: the radio presenter. That could be your voice. You conduct interviews, shape the programme and coordinate the features and music. As a presenter, you give the show its voice. Thousands of listeners hear your stories, interviews and features live.

Marketing

Interested in marketing? Organise ambitious partnerships with singers, festival organisers, companies and clubs. You are the contact person for our national partners and the link between them and the editorial team. You learn how to plan campaigns and put your knowledge into practice in our poster and online campaigns.

Editorial team

Become part of our editorial team and produce stories. As a journalist, you create your own reports, interviews and profiles, which are read and heard by thousands of teenagers and young adults.

Podcast

Going live on air is not your thing? No problem! Our studios are ideal for recording podcasts that we can later include in our radio schedule. Our news and podcast content is available on all platforms.

Social media and TikTok

If you are interested in social media and TikTok, you have come to the right place! We use these platforms to make our content accessible to an even wider audience. You can create engaging content, set trends and look after our community across different channels.

Experience journalism first-hand

Aarau24 gives aspiring journalists the opportunity to gain practical experience in local journalism, from research to reporting. As part of the team, you can experience events in Aarau and the surrounding area first-hand and report on what matters in our region.

Training

Radio Summernight is a youth and training radio station. Comprehensive training for RSN members is at the heart of what we do. Radio Summernight sees itself as a springboard, giving interested and talented young people an opportunity to enter the media world. Inexperienced music enthusiasts and radio fans can gain hands-on experience that is difficult to find elsewhere. Sound initial and continuing training is a key priority. RSN members are encouraged to get on air early, while new contributors receive thorough guidance and regular training days to ensure a basic level of professionalism from the outset.

What you get:

You can contribute your own ideas to the project and become part of the RSN family. Around 30 volunteers run and develop our youth radio station. As part of the project, you will be invited regularly to great team events and exciting courses. As a journalist, you can also attend and report on festivals, open-air events and sporting events.

Workshops

We offer all members a wide range of courses and workshops free of charge. Learn more

Events

Thanks to various partnerships, we broadcast live from many different locations: sometimes from an outdoor pool, sometimes from a festival and sometimes from a Swiss Super League football stadium. Every year, we broadcast live from around ten open-air festivals, including Openair Frauenfeld, OpenAir St. Gallen, ZürichAir, Frühlingstrümmel, Sommerloch Openair and Variaktion.

Web / app / cable / Alexa

We distribute your programme, editorial feature or other content across all channels: on the website, in the RSN app, through smart speakers such as Alexa and on TV via Swisscom TV, Apple TV and Samsung TV.
